These Terms and Conditions outline the policies and commitments that guide our cleaning services across Auckland and Waikato. From booking procedures and payment terms to customer satisfaction and privacy, we aim to provide clarity, fairness, and transparency in every interaction. Cleaning Doctor Limited – Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy
1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with any signed Work Authorization, Payment Requests, and quotations, form the entire agreement between you (“Customer”) and Cleaning Doctor Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This document supersedes all prior agreements and communications. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
Definitions
- We, Us, Our: Cleaning Doctor Limited.
- Customer, You: The individual or entity receiving our services.
- Actual Cost: Expenses we incur that are not included in the initial quotation.
- Work: The services we provide (e.g., commercial/residential cleaning, water blasting, car grooming).
- Price: The total amount shown on our invoice.
- Terms of Trade: These terms and conditions.
- Privacy Policy: Section 13 of this document.
- Consumer Act: The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
- Health and Safety: The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
Service Terms
2. Cost Estimates
Any initial price provided is an estimate only. We will inform you if actual costs are expected to exceed this estimate.
3. Quotes
- Quotes are valid for 7 days and must be accepted in writing.
- For jobs over $3,000 (incl. GST), a 50% deposit may be required.
- Payment upfront may be required for quotes under $3,000.
- Work beyond the original quote’s scope will be billed at Actual Cost and requires your written approval.
4. Payment Terms
- A deposit or advance payment may be required before work begins.
- Business Clients: Payment is due within 20 working days of the invoice date.
- Non-Business Clients: Payment is due by the invoice due date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Late payments may incur interest, and services may be suspended after 7 days of non-payment.
5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or failure to provide property access will result in a $200 fee.

7. Customer Responsibilities
You must:
- Clear the work area and remove items from surfaces to be cleaned.
- Provide accessible power, water, and parking.
- Ensure the property is unoccupied and pets are removed during work hours.
8. Liability
- Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to $500. We recommend you insure valuable items.
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic damages.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any concerns or disputes must be submitted in writing before or within one business day after work completion.
10. Damage & Incident Reporting
Any damage, theft, or accidents must be reported in writing within one business day. Failure to report may affect your claim eligibility.
11. Health & Safety
- You are responsible for identifying and clearing hazards before we arrive.
- We reserve the right to cancel or postpone services if unresolved safety risks are present.
12. Use of Media
We may take photos/videos for quality control, documentation, or marketing. By using our services, you consent to this use.
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters).
15. Communications
We may communicate with you electronically. Electronic signatures are accepted as valid.

Payment Processing
16. Payment Process
- Your payment details are transferred to our secure gateway at the time of booking.
- We may pre-authorise your payment method to ensure funds are available.
- Upon successful service completion, the payment amount will be automatically debited.
- You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are available. Fees for insufficient funds will be passed on to you.
- Payments may be processed via an overseas gateway; any associated fees charged by your institution will be refunded upon request.
17. Security of Payment
We take practical steps to protect your information using a secure payment gateway. However, we cannot be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access to your information.
18. Direct Debit
- By choosing Direct Debit, you authorise us to debit your nominated account for service charges.
- This authority remains until canceled in writing by either party.
- You must ensure sufficient funds are available on the due date. A fee may be charged for declined payments.
- We will provide 14 days’ notice for changes to the amount or date.
- You can cancel your authorization with 10 business days’ notice.
- Disputes must be raised within 30 days of the payment date.
Refer-a-Friend Program
19. Refer-a-Friend
- 19.2 Eligibility (Referring Customer): You must have an active account in good standing.
- 19.3 Eligibility (Referred Customer): The referral must be a new customer who has never used our services at that address before. They must book and complete their first paid service.
- 19.5 Limitations:
- Annual referral credits are capped at $500.00.
- Credits cannot be applied retroactively.
- We reserve the right to disqualify referrals believed to be fraudulent.
- The program may be modified or terminated at any time.
General
20. Governing Law & Miscellaneous
- These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any disputes will be resolved in New Zealand courts.
- Changes to these terms must be agreed upon in writing.
- In case of conflict, these Terms and Conditions take precedence over other documents.
